About
Alexandra
Alexia may be a lot like you. She struggled with weight and survived a heart attack at 38. She knows what it’s like to make big changes. After recovering, Alexia decided to change her career to help others live healthier lives. She became a registered dietitian in 2012 and holds certifications in culinary nutrition, health coaching, and as a weight management specialist. She’s coached 1000s of people in private practice, as a university dietitian, and at worksite wellness companies.
Approach to care
Mindset, simplicity, flexibility, and breaking food rules using a non-diet or a macros-based approach - focused on eating, not restricting - are keys to helping you improve heart health, lose weight, stop binge eating, and improve type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. But, Alexia will not tell you what to do because you know being told what to do hasn’t worked yet. You are the expert on yourself. Alexia is the expert on food, nutrition, and behavior change theory. When we put our heads together, we find the best-fit solutions for your lifestyle and your health and nutrition goals.

What to expect in your first session with Alexandra?

Expect a conversation about what you want from coaching, your history, and previous experience with changing habits. Then, we talk about ways for you to make meaningful changes. You choose the options that sound best to you. We close with your next steps - and that is all you focus on until we meet again. So, say good-bye to overwhelm, to relying on willpower, and to depriving yourself of foods you love. You deserve to enjoy food without guilt or shame, tune out the silly fads and trends, and find peace with food. As long as you are willing to experiment with ideas and be honest about how it’s going, then we will create your unique path to success!
