I was raised in Upstate NY surrounded by mountains, fresh water lakes, and tons of snow! After grad school in Central NY, I high-tailed it down to sunny Florida where I have been working as a dietitian in the long term care, hospital, and private consulting sectors for the past 13 years.
I became interested in the nutrition sciences as a child when I observed one side of the family struggling with obesity, and the other flourishing in an active lifestyle with little consumption of processed foods, and healthy weight status. I have struggled with weight most of my life, and enjoy connecting with patients whom see I understand the struggle.
Approach to care
My approach to care includes considering not only nutritional needs but also the individual's overall well-being.
I take into account factors such as lifestyle, cultural background, and personal preferences when developing nutrition plans.
My commitment to client-centered care tailors recommendations to each individual's unique circumstances, goals, and challenges.
With strong communication skills, I have the ability to convey complex nutritional information in an accessible and understandable manner, in addition to listening, and ensuring that I understand the unique needs and concerns of each client.
