Heather O'Hearn is a Registered Dietitian licensed in the states of Florida, Texas, and Rhode Island. She graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, and completed 1200 hours of supervised practice through the Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (BPVAHCS) Dietetic Internship Program. Before joining the Nourish team, Heather worked as a clinical dietitian at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. Heather is based in Gainesville, FL with her husband, child, and geriatric Toy Fox Terrier named Knoxville. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and getting lost in a good book.

Heather is a Health at Every Size®-aligned dietitian and is passionate about helping clients improve their health and wellbeing through tailored nutrition and lifestyle modifications. Heather believes strongly that each individual is the expert when it comes to their own life, body, and lived experience. Through empathic, person-centered coaching and evidence-based recommendations, Heather partners with her clients to help them develop the skills and find the motivation needed to create meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives.

In your first session, Heather will spend a full hour getting to know everything she can about what makes you YOU. In addition to reviewing your medical history and nutritional habits, she'll spend time getting to know you as a whole person - what matters to you, what brings you joy - and exploring your personal values and aspirations. This information will help Heather create an individualized nutrition care plan for you, which includes short-term goals to work towards between sessions as well as higher-level, long-term goals that will guide your work together.
