Kate's journey to becoming a dietitian started early, with core memories of dinner around the family table and home cooked breakfasts every morning. In these moments she formed a deep appreciation for the communal/relational aspect of food. Her own personal health journey of medical trauma and multiple autoimmune diagnoses paired with a passion for medical science led her to the field of nutrition science.
She obtained her Masters of Human Nutrition from Colorado State University where she focused on teaching cooking life skills to fourth graders and completed her dietetic internship. From there she worked in diabetes education and eating disorder counseling for a number of years. She has done extensive trainings on women's health, infertility and perinatal women's health.
Today, she brings a deep understanding of nutrition science, genetics, food, emotional/relational health and pairs it with the life skills of cooking and grocery shopping to help support her clients to find true wellness.
She is a dietitian rooted in an integrative, personalized approach to health and healing which allows her to work together with you to look deeply into the choices you make and how we can work together to find balance in your life.
Kate lives in the greater Wichita, KS, area with her husband Blake, their three boys(one set of twins), and black lab. As a family they enjoy spending time outside, gardening, playing soccer, going on camping trips to national parks. She loves to read and you can often find her in the kitchen cooking and baking.
