Lauren is a registered dietitian nutritionist with over 17 years of experience in clinical nutrition and eating disorder treatment. She has a special interest in women’s health, intuitive eating, and neurodivergent nutrition. As a mother of three, she understands the complexities of juggling a busy schedule, feeding a family on a budget, and caring for yourself. Lauren uses her background in nutrition science, as well as practical life skills such as meal planning and cooking, to help clients simplify nourishing themselves well.
Approach to care
Lauren believes in an evidenced-based, weight-inclusive approach and operates from a basis of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size. She will guide you through the confusion of nutrition misinformation and diet culture and help you rewrite your relationship with food, body, and movement. Lauren will work with you––exactly where you are today––to create incremental changes that will help you achieve your long-term goals.

Your first session is the time for you to share all about yourself: your successes, concerns, and what you want to get out of working with a dietitian. From there, Lauren will answer your questions and work with you to identify actionable steps as you get started on your journey.

When would you like to meet with Lauren?
Initial appointments are 55 mins and done over Zoom.
Lauren is a registered dietitian and nutrition therapist who specializes in helping individuals overcome disordered eating, emotional eating, exercise dependence and avoidance, and body image issues. With a focus on compassion and balance, Lauren incorporates intuitive eating principles to help clients to rediscover their inner wisdom and rewrite their relationship with food, movement, and their bodies.
Lauren believes in a weight-inclusive, anti-diet approach that empowers individuals to break free from restrictive food beliefs and rules that no longer serve them. She loves getting creative with her clients through meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, mindful eating and intuitive movement. Her ultimate goal is to make eating simple, nourishing, and pleasurable again.
With over 15 years of experience in eating disorder treatment and clinical nutrition, Lauren has provided care across all levels of treatment from residential to outpatient. She currently lives in the Birmingham area with her husband and their three precious kiddos.
