The old saying goes, "If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime." As a Registered Dietitian with more than 15 year of experience, I'm a firm believer in learning how to eat for individual health. No two people are alike, which is why I don't provide meal plans, but instead approach each client with one goal - to eat as liberal a diet as possible. I do not believe that dietary restrictions should be routine, but instead ONLY utilized when a person shows a clear intolerance or allergy to a food. Nutrition research has consistently shown that those who eat a wide variety of foods, experience the best health.
