Leila has been a registered dietitian for over 12 years with the last 8 years working in primary care conducting individual nutrition counseling and education sessions. She specializes in prediabetes and diabetes, weight concerns, and general health. She became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) in 2018 and has experience with diabetes self-management education and the use of CGMs (Continuous Glucose Monitors). She is passionate about helping others by preventing and managing chronic conditions through nutrition.

Leila is an active listener and is committed to meeting patients where they currently are in their journey. She believes food is meant to be enjoyed and all foods can fit into the plan. Leila collaborates with her patients to create individualized goals that are realistic, sustainable and will fit into your lifestyle.

During your first session, Leila will take time to get to know you by asking questions about your lifestyle, medical history, eating habits, and nutrition related goals. Together we will develop a plan tailored to your individual needs with actionable steps to work on between sessions. Leila is open to your ideas, limitations and feedback to ensure your plan is achievable and realistic.
