About
Regina
Regina has over a decade of experience as sports dietitian and USA Triathlon coach creating fueling plans for professional triathletes, cyclists, and trail runners. She created the first performance nutrition program for 1MRB, Marine Special Operations on Camp Pendleton, where she embedded in the field to assess and create food plans to support each stage of pre-deployment training. A competitive bike racer and mountain runner she actively tests fueling and hydration guidelines in the deserts and mountains. She works with busy professionals, grade school teams, collegiate and elite endurance athletes. With training in functional nutrition, she focuses on the whole body.
Approach to care
Most people have tried to work with more than one Dietitian to achieve their goals. This means the role food and weight has played in your life has had challenges. Change can be difficult, and if you have tried to change before or you have changed, but not seen the results you expect, it can difficult to motivate. I will be patient and compassionate to learn your story; the successes and challenges, and work to determine an effective approach to achieving your goals.

What to expect in your first session with Regina?

During your first session, you can expect to be asked about your weight history, medical history, goals and obstacles. To provide an effective and productive first session, we will work together to determine your primary goal. Often, there are multiple concerns and challenges, however, to create a methodical plan for you, we need to focus on one to two things at a time. These can change while we work together. I understand how important it is to feel like you are making progress, and to that end, data is extremely important. I try to minimize this, however, as I am new to your situation, I will need your input in addition to metrics such as weight, height, food logs and emotions.
