Ryan grew up in a food-loving family and absolutely loves to eat, cook and try new foods. Ryan’s dietitian aspirations started as a student-athlete where he used his fueling habits to improve his performance on and off the field. This led to a passion for sports nutrition, nutrition science and helping others on their own health journey. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Ryan is a Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics after supporting student athletes at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. Throughout Ryan’s career he has supported all walks of life in hospitals, outpatient clinics, athletic settings and even out of grocery stores.

Ryan prides himself on taking an individualized and sustainable approach to nutrition. Ryan believes there are many ways to be healthy with food and nutrition is not “one size fits all.” Ryan understands that food is more than just fuel, calories and macronutrients; it’s a connection to our culture, a way to bond with friends and family, a powerful medicine and a bringer of joy! Ryan approaches nutrition coaching as a partnership. He may be an expert in food and nutrition, but you are the expert of your body and health journey. Ryan’s goal is to be your last stop for nutrition and empower you with the knowledge and habits to thrive for years to come.
What to expect in your first session with Ryan?
During your first session, Ryan will take the time to learn more about you and your health journey. Ryan will take a deep dive into your medical history, current lifestyle, top nutrition concerns and vision of your healthiest self. Using these details, Ryan will work with you to develop a nutrition plan tailored to your life, habits and real-world application. Habit change is hard, that’s why Ryan implements realistic and sustainable changes at your own pace.

Ryan lives in Minneapolis with his wife Erin and beloved dog Cora. Ryan loves experimenting in the kitchen and sharing meals with his friends and family. Ryan spends free time lifting weights, listening to podcasts, watching sports and gaming. Ryan is a sports fanatic, especially the Green Bay Packers.
