About
Sarah
Sarah graduated from Utah State University with a major in dietetics and a minor in psychology. Sarah's interest in dietetics began as a genuine love of food and cooking and a passion for helping others. She approaches nutrition counseling with an understanding that food is so much more than fuel; it's also culture, enjoyment, medicine, and connection.
Sarah lives in Utah with her wife, kids, her dog Nico, and her cats Mochi and Lev (feel free to say hi to the pets if you spot them in a virtual appointment).
Approach to care
Sarah is inquisitive and open, operating from a basis of Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size. No matter your desired outcome, Sarah is here to meet you where you are, focusing on incremental changes with your end goals in mind. She enjoys collaboration and active problem-solving with clients as well as with fellow dietitians. She is always learning and can't wait to share her nutrition knowledge with you.
Our first session together will be a chance to get to know one another. I will ask questions to get a better understanding of your most pressing nutrition concerns, your medical background, and your current lifestyle. Using these details we'll begin to make a roadmap centered on the outcomes you most hope to achieve. I end each session with at least one goal to focus on between sessions, gaining self-efficacy with small wins in the short term to promote sustainable change in the long term.
