About
Tina
Tina (she/they) didn’t mean to become a dietitian, but she’s glad she did. Career-wise, she meant to be a chef and was for a few years, but a mysterious chronic illness swept the kitchen mats from right under her feet. For the past 5 years, Tina has worked as an outpatient Registered Dietitian, tailoring realistic and delicious nutrition approaches to a diverse array of people, grateful for the space to share with and learn from every individual.
Approach to care
Tina's nutrition practice approach is trauma-informed, weight-inclusive, gender-affirming, culturally practical, and practical. She won't pretend to know your body or your life experience better than you do. She will, however, ask a lot of questions and draw from her education and professional training to share tools that grow awareness of inner-voice dialogue around food and body and guidance integrating lifestyle changes to help manage health challenges. Tina is especially passionate about digestion, blood sugar management, and gender diverse care (hormone replacement therapies, gender-affirming surgery, etc.).

What to expect in your first session with Tina?

From the start, we’ll take a moment to clarify that we’re simply here to recognize patterns and bring kindness and attention to them instead of judging or shaming any tricky behaviors. We’ll then move through an intake that shines a light on where we can go next, whether it’s toward a personal goal or symptom alleviation, we figure it out together. The expectation is never perfection, rather to show up, finding the next most possible step, and trying. Wash, rinse, repeat.
