About
Tracy
I have been a Registered Dietitian for over thirty years with vast experience. I am always willing to look at new information and re-evaluate my current beliefs in the fields of nutrition, health and wellness. I have worked as a clinical dietitian for some of my career, also as a corporate dietitian and have worked with clients on an array of issues (see below.) I am also a birth doula, an adoptive mom and the grandma of six (the best part of life!) I have been married for 40 years (!) and I live a very active lifestyle. My personal philosophy is that tomorrow is always going to be a better day!
Approach to care
I have spent a lot of time studying what at the time was considered, "outside" of normal nutrition, only to later see it go mainstream. I have evolved even in my own life and now follow a very low oxalate ketovore diet due to health issues. That said, I do not believe that a "one size fits all," philosophy works when it comes to nutrition. My job is to meet a client where they are at and help them discover a way of eating/lifestyle that works best for them. I also believe the body has an amazing capacity for self-healing, and that nutrition plays a pivotal role in that healing. We truly are what we eat.

What to expect in your first session with Tracy?

In the first session we will discuss your needs and why you decided to go forward with nutritional counseling. Because food is about so much more than calories in/calories out and lifestyle plays such a significant role in nutrition, we will also discuss things such a work/life balance and stress. Our relationship with food is often about love, social relationships, our memories/thoughts surrounding meals and how we handle stress in our lives. Do we eat to live, or live to eat? We will discuss in detail your health history, current diet philosophy (or lack thereof), and most importantly what your end goals are.
