About
Marie
Marie is a certified diabetes educator, registered dietitian/nutritionist, and author. She completed her master’s degree in nutrition and public health at Columbia University. Marie is very warm, compassionate and humorous. She drills down science into simple actions steps to help busy people elevate their health and age gracefully. She will provide personalized action steps and handouts. Her book, Optimize Your Immune System: Create Health and Resilience with a Kitchen Pharmacy, is a winner of the Readers Favorite award. As a result of resolving her own persistent health challenges, Marie formulated a food-as-medicine strategy to help clients more quickly reach their goals.
Approach to care
Marie gets to the root of the problem and uses a non-diet approach to meal planning + targeted supplements that accelerate progress. She listens to what’s important to you . No judgement here; every challenge is an opportunity to problem solve, with the goal of lasting results for you. Marie will lead you in baby steps (or faster, if you’re the all-in type), to have satisfying meals that reset your metabolism and energize your body and mind. You are an equal player in your wellness process and she will invite your feedback as she works to improve your sleep, stress, cravings, SIBO, triglycerides, joint pain, pre-diabetes, PCOS, anti-inflammatory and celiac gluten-free diets.

What to expect in your first session with Marie?

In your initial session with Marie, you'll begin with a nutrition assessment. This is your opportunity to let her know what your most pressing concerns are. She will ask questions to better understand your medical history, nutritional goals, challenges, core issues, and lifestyle. This will enable her to develop a customized plan. Then Marie will provide you with a few simple action steps to get started with, regular check-ins, and on-going support.
