Gina has been a dietitian for close to twenty years. Gina has experience as a supermarket dietitian, a campus dietitian helping students with food allergies, and is now following her passion as an Intuitive Eating Counselor, helping people improve their relationship with food and their body. Gina understands that every person's needs are unique, and she will work with you to align those needs with a goal of finding satisfaction and joy in food. When Gina isn't working, she's reading, baking with her kids, engaging in joyful movement, learning to play pickleball, trying to be good at golf, trying all different types of ice cream, and traveling as much as possible!
Approach to care
Gina is an inclusive healthcare provider who uses a weight-neutral approach to developing sound health and nutrition habits. Gina uses humor and empathy, as well as a well developed knowledge of the stages of change and motivational interviewing, in her one-on-one sessions. Gina's philosophy is that all foods fit, and food should be fun and satisfying, not guilt inducing or stressful.
What to expect in your first session with Gina?
Gina wants to get to know you. The first session will focus on who you are and why you have decided to see a dietitian. Also, what are your short term and long term goals? During the first session, and beyond, Gina wants you to get comfortable with her, so you feel this is a safe space to be yourself. The first session will also be an opportunity to do a thorough review of your medical history, lifestyle habits, and any specific food preferences or dietary needs that should be addressed.
